Congratulations to Morgan Bartoles in the 100m dash, Noah Thayer in the Pole Vault, and Abby Benden, Morgan Bartoles, Mariah Evans, and Lexie Houk in the 4X100m relay for making it through the qualifier to the WPIAL Finals.  Good luck next week at Baldwin as you attempt to qualify for the State Meet!

Yesterday, the Men's and Women's Teams competed in the MAC, enduring grueling weather conditions.  In spite of the rain, wind, and cold weather, the following athletes placed in their events:  Zach Black 2nd in the 1600m Run, Kevin Jenkins 5th in the 110m Hurdles, Mariah Evans 4th in the Triple Jump and 6th in the Long Jump, and Abby Benden, Morgan Bartoles, Mariah Evans, and Lexie Houk 5th in the 4X100m Relay.  Excellent job ladies and gentlemen!

On Saturday, April 20th the Cougars competed in the Beaver County Championships where several members of the Men's and Women's Team made their way to the podium.  The highlight of the meet, however, was Noah Thayer who vaulted 12'6 in order to claim the title of Beaver County Champion.  Congratulations, Noah!

There are a couple of things to be aware of as we begin the 2013 Track and Field Season.  First, all athletes need to remember to turn in their Rules and Regulations Signature Sheet before they can compete.  Second, athletes need to get their $20.00 for the Boosters Club in as soon as possible.  This donation allows the organization to fulfill our needs throughout the season.  Finally, be sure to keep the evening of March 18th open as we will be having a team night at Elite Runners and Walkers in Robinson Township.  Athletes will get 15% off if they buy one pair of shoes/spikes and 25% off if they buy two pairs; plus, pizza will be provided.
